Privacy notice

This notice explains how MeshTickets, a product developed and managed by Multiple Advanced System Hubrix Corporate (“MeshTickets”, “we”, “us”), handles personal information when you use the ticketing website, organiser tools and scanning service. We process personal information in line with applicable South African privacy law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information we use

Why and with whom we share information

We use information where needed to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations, protect legitimate platform and user interests, and where you have given consent. This covers accounts, ticket issue and validation, payment and refunds, organiser support, abuse prevention, service notices, records and compliance. We share relevant transaction details, including your checkout phone number, with Paystack; we share event-related information with the organiser to deliver the event. We also use email, private storage and hosting providers, and disclose information to authorities or advisers where legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety.

Service providers may process information in South Africa or another country. Where cross-border processing applies, we require appropriate safeguards as required by law. Organisers receive only the information needed to manage their event and entry.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve refunds and disputes, maintain accounting and audit records, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the record type and applicable law. We use access controls and security measures appropriate to the information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We will handle a security compromise as required by applicable law.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, object to or ask us to limit certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Some records may need to be retained to complete a transaction, resolve a dispute or comply with law. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise a right, contact us using the support contact shown in your service correspondence and include enough information for us to verify your request.
